| Volunteer Guidelines |
|
1. Volunteers must be at least fourteen years old to work at the festival.
2. Volunteers can sign up to help set up before the festival, shifts on the grounds during the festival and tear-down shifts after the festival ends.
3. Volunteers can request specific areas and shifts. The Volunteer Coordinators will do their best to accommodate these requests.
4. Lobster and Lefse Festival encourages volunteers to register in advance, this helps with our planning; but walk in volunteers are always welcome!
5. Volunteers are assigned on a first come, first served basis. If a requested time slot/area is filled the Coordinators will place volunteers based on need.
6. The Volunteer Coordinators will mail/email to each volunteer a confirmation card with dates, times and job assignments.
7. The Volunteer Coordinators determine the number of volunteers needed for each area during any specfic shift time. There are areas where large groups are needed and can be accommodated better.
8. During the festival all volunteers MUST check in at the East Lobby of the FARGODOME each day they are scheduled to work. Volunteers can escape the heat and place their personal belongings in the area. FM AM Rotary, the Lobster and Lefse Festival and FARGODOME are not responsible for the well being of articles left in this area.
9. All festival volunteers will recieve a volunteer t-shirt, which can be picked up when you check in at the volunteer tent for your first shift. You will recieve only one. It is requested that t- shirts not be altered in any way during the festival.
10. If you would like to volunteer as a group, please use the Group Registration form. Please provide a complete list of your group's names and t-shirt sizes, plus the address, email and telephone number of the person who will be the group's contact with the festival.
11. EACH VOLUNTEER MUST FILL OUT AND SIGN AN INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION AND CONSENT FORM so that we may have vital medical and contact information in the event of an emergency. |
